Loc Xuan Le and Wongrat Ratanaprayul to Lead Seminar on Protection of Patents in SE Asia

As the dynamic economies of Southeast Asia continue to build manufacturing capacity in industries ranging from pharmaceuticals to consumer electronics, patent infringement has emerged as a growing problem in the region. Wongrat Ratanaprayul, the director of Tilleke & Gibbins’ Jakarta office, and Hanoi-based partner Loc Xuan Le have been invited by the Chartered Institute of Patent Attorneys (CIPA) to share their insight on patent protection in Southeast Asia with U.K.-based attorneys via webinar.

The hour-long webinar, open to registered CIPA members, will be held on March 12. Wongrat and Loc will outline the available enforcement routes (civil, criminal, and/or administrative) and border control procedures for protecting patents in Thailand, Indonesia, and Vietnam, and share best practices gained from years in the field.
