Licensing Association (Thailand)

Founded in 2013 and incorporated in 2014, the Licensing Association of Thailand (LAT) is a national association aimed at gearing Thailand’s licensing activities toward fostering an innovation-driven society. As an LAT founder, Tilleke & Gibbins will host the organization’s grand opening seminar, which has been dubbed “ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) – A New Market for IP Monetization.”

Participating in the event, Alan Adcock, partner and deputy director of intellectual property in Tilleke & Gibbins, will join the seminar as a panelist to discuss the topic “Recent Developments on IP Licensing Laws in AEC.” Alan will then act as a moderator for the discussion on “Regulatory Impingements of IP Rights,” which will delve into the regulatory effect on commercialized IP. Aaron Le Marquer, consultant in the firm’s dispute resolution group, will also join in this discussion as a panelist.

The event will be hosted at the Chatrium Hotel Riverside in Bangkok, Thailand, from October 13 to 14. The talk on “Recent Developments on IP Licensing Laws in AEC” will take place on October 14 from 9 a.m. to 10.30 a.m. The discussion on “Regulatory Impingements of IP Rights” will be held from 10.45 a.m. to 12.15 p.m. If you would like to learn more about this event, please visit the LAT website.
