LES Thailand Annual Conference: Strategies for Global IP Management and Licensing

In order to provide government agencies, lawyers, and IP practitioners with a platform to discuss licensing issues, the Licensing Executives Society Thailand will host its Annual Conference on the topic, “Strategies for Global IP Management and Licensing.” The conference will cover topics such as shaping innovation for IP commercialization, planning for better benefits, trade secret management, and best practices in IP licensing.

During the conference, Siraprapha Rungpry, a consultant in Tilleke & Gibbins’ intellectual property and regulatory affairs group, will participate in the panel discussion “Trade Secret Management.” Michelle Ray-Jones, a consultant in the firm’s intellectual property group, will join as a panelist in the discussion on “Best Practices in IP Licensing – Copyright/Media and Trademarks.”

The conference will take place from November 19 to 20 at the Sofitel Bangkok Sukhumvit hotel in Bangkok, Thailand. On September 19, 2019, Yuwadee Thean-ngarm, director of Tilleke & Gibbins’ office in Yangon, will give a presentation on intellectual property (IP) rights in Myanmar at the Anti-Illicit Trade Forum 2019. Her presentation will provide attendees with an overview of the suite of new IP laws that were enacted in Myanmar earlier this year, namely the Trademark Law, the Copyright Law, the Patent Law, and the Industrial Design Law.
