Kobkit Thienpreecha Leads Session for IOD’s Director Certification Program

On March 12, partner and director of Tilleke & Gibbins’ corporate and commercial department, Kobkit Thienpreecha, was welcomed as a guest lecturer at the annual Director Certification Program hosted by the Thai Institute of Directors Association (IOD). A regular speaker for numerous IOD events, Kobkit was asked to present on legal liabilities for directors of listed and non-listed companies in Thailand. In his useful presentation, Kobkit discussed local legislation covering directors’ liability, highlighted key points with real-life case studies, and provided practical advice on what directors can do to limit them.

The IOD is a Thai organization dedicated to improving director professionalism and corporate governance. In order to do so, the IOD offers numerous programs that provide guidelines for directors to follow. The Director Certification Program is the IOD’s most elite program, covering 11 in-depth modules in five days.
