John Frangos to Speak on Thai Airways Business Rehabilitation at NYSBA Meeting

On July 21, John Frangos, partner and deputy director of Tilleke & Gibbins dispute resolution group and head of the firm’s regional aviation practice, will deliver a presentation on the Thai Airways business rehabilitation case at a New York State Bar Association (NYSBA) Executive Committee Meeting. During his presentation, John will provide an overview of the Thai Airways case; explain the meaning of business rehabilitation under Thai bankruptcy law—which is comparable to Chapter 11 Bankruptcy in the U.S.; and lead a discussion on the future of the airline during and after reorganization.

As one of the most prominent members of the New York Bar in Thailand, John was appointed as Chair of the association’s Thailand Chapter earlier this year. Given this recent appointment and his deep understanding of the local aviation industry and Thai bankruptcy law, John was the ideal candidate to deliver this presentation for the NSYBA Executive Committee.
