INTA-MOST Conference in Ho Chi Minh City: Presentations on Well-Known Trademarks

Lawyers at Tilleke & Gibbins will take part in “Protection of Well-Known Trademarks – Enterprise’s Needs and Solutions,” a conference hosted by the International Trademark Association and the Vietnam Ministry of Science and Technology.

Michelle Ray-Jones, a consultant in the firm’s intellectual property group, will present during the panel session “Panel 2: Protection and Enforcement of Well-Known Trademarks in Vietnam and Some Countries” on the topic “Protection of Well-Known Trademarks in the United States and Difficulties Faced by IP Owners.” She will discuss where actions can be filed, the Trademark Dilution Revision Act, what makes a mark famous, and difficulties faced by IP owners in protecting their well-known marks.

Thomas J. Treutler, managing partner of the firm’s Vietnam offices, will moderate the panel session “Panel 3: Comments of Experts,” in which various project researchers and INTA members will take part and discuss the protection of well-known trademarks.

The conference will take place at the Eden Hotel in Ho Chi Minh City on June 16 from 7.30 a.m. to 12 noon.
