IFLR 1000: Piyanuj (Lui) Ratprasatporn and Michael K. Lee Recognized as Leading Lawyers

International Financial Law Review

The IFLR 1000 2015  rankings of the world’s leading financial and corporate lawyers have been released. Two Tilleke & Gibbins lawyers were recognized as being leaders in their fields: Piyanuj (Lui) Ratprasatporn, partner and director of the corporate and commercial department in Thailand, was named a “Leading Lawyer” in Mergers and Acquisitions and Michael K. Lee, partner and head of corporate and commercial in Vietnam, was recognized as a top practitioner in Banking and Finance and Mergers and Acquisitions.

The rankings are based on three key criteria, as follows:

  • Transactional evidence: Transactional highlights from lawyers’ last 12 months of work with analysis of statistical evidence of transaction values and volumes
  • Peer feedback: Partners and practitioners active in financial and corporate work provided feedback on leading lawyers through online surveys, phone interviews, and face-to-face interviews
  • Client feedback: Corporate and in-house contacts gave their opinions on the lawyers they use, making their assessments with factors such as technical ability, accessibility and communication, depth of team, value for money, client/lawyer relationship, and international network
