Intellectual Asset Management

For the second year in a row, Tilleke & Gibbins has been ranked as a “Gold Band” firm in Thailand by IAM Patent 1000 – The World’s Leading Patent Practitioners 2014, due to the outstanding nature of its patent practice. Firms that are placed in the “Gold Band” are described by IAM Patent 1000 as being “the crème de la crème” or “the best of its kind.”

In addition to this prestigious ranking, the following four Tilleke & Gibbins lawyers were listed as “Recommended Individuals” for their “exceptional skill sets and profound insights into patent matters,” with the editorial offering the following comments:

  • Alan Adcock. “On the transactional front, the effervescent Alan Adcock leads the way. A fluent Mandarin speaker known for his attentive service, Adcock brokers patent-centric deals whose impact is felt across Southeast Asia.”
  • Darani Vachanavuttivong. “The prosecution practice is deftly steered by IP group managing director Darani Vachanavuttivong, a celebrated name in Thai IP circles. She has secured watertight protection for clients’ keystone inventions in often challenging jurisdictions such as Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, and Myanmar.”
  • Nandana Indananda. “Formerly a judge of the Central Intellectual Property and International Trade Court, Nandana Indananda is now a top-flight patent litigator who ‘never disappoints in terms of the quality of his representation’.”
  • Srila Thongklang. “Another gifted advocate, Srila Thongklang has long scored important victories for pharmaceutical originators.”

These rankings are based on feedback obtained following an extensive research process conducted over five months by Intellectual Asset Management’s researchers and analysts, who carried out over 1,500 telephone interviews with attorneys-at-law, patent attorneys, and in-house counsel.
