Theerapat Sombatsatapornkul, David Beckstead, and Chaiwat Keratisuthisathorn, all members of the Tilleke & Gibbins corporate and commercial team, have co-authored the Thailand chapter for the 2017 edition of Getting the Deal Through – Real Estate.

The chapter focuses on several topics regarding the real estate landscape in Thailand, including the registration process with the Land Office , regulations surrounding foreign ownership and investment, legal liability and dispute resolution procedures, real estate transactions and investment vehicles, lease procedures, and financing. The chapter also touches on the August 2015 passage of the Business Collateral Act, which opens new securitization options across a broad range of assets.

This is considered a relief measure for taxpayers amid the COVID-19 epidemic.Decree 41 provides for extension of the deadline for tax payment for a number of taxpayers, including companies in many sectors, small and extra-small enterprises, and credit institutions providing supporting services for clients affected by the COVID-19 epidemic.
