The latest edition of Getting the Deal Through – Arbitration, a multijurisdictional guide to arbitration law, has been published by Law Business Research, with this year’s publication covering 49 jurisdictions worldwide. Kornkieat Chunhakasikarn and John King, attorney-at-law and partner respectively in Tilleke & Gibbins’ dispute resolution group, have coauthored the Thailand chapter to this guide. They examine a number of key issues relating to arbitration in Thailand, including UNCITRAL, mandatory provisions, arbitral institutions, requirements for arbitration agreements, issues relating to enforceability, the constitution of the arbitral tribunal, arbitral proceedings, interim measures and sanctioning powers, awards, proceedings subsequent to the issuance of an award, and the latest updates and trends.
