FCPA: Fundamentals, Trends, and Compliance

American Chamber of Commerce in Thailand

On November 21, Michael Ramirez, Consultant at Tilleke & Gibbins, will be speaking at an American Chamber of Commerce event, “FCPA: Fundamentals, Trends, and Compliance.” Aggressive enforcement of the U.S. Foreign Corrupt Practices Act is on the rise, and this is an area of particular concern to multinational corporations operating in Thailand, which can be a challenging country for FCPA compliance. The event will cover:

  • Basics of the FCPA
  • Details on recent enforcement measures
  • Recommendations to ensure compliance

Michael’s presentation will build on his recent Bangkok Post article, in which he discussed the impact of the FCPA and the U.K. Bribery Act on companies in Thailand.
