Department of Lands Announces Limitation of Office Services during COVID-19 Outbreak

The Department of Lands (DOL) has issued a notification to request that the public refrain from contacting the DOL for nonessential matters during this time in light of the ongoing COVID-19 outbreak.

The Notification re: Seeking Cooperation from the Public to Avoid any Registration, or Request for Services from Land Offices, issued on March 25, 2020, asks the public to only bring matters to the DOL at this time if they involve a necessary registration or a transaction which, if delayed, would cause damage to the parties or to the economy. This applies to all DOL offices nationwide.

This request aims to reduce the number of people visiting the land offices each day until the situation returns to normal. Therefore, anyone wishing to make use of a land office’s services should consult with the relevant land office by other means before traveling there.
