Cynthia M. Pornavalai to Speak on Best Practices for Real Estate Commercial Contracts

Cynthia M. Pornavalai, a partner in the Tilleke & Gibbins corporate and commercial group, will be speaking at a conference dubbed “Successful Commercial Contracts: Best Practices.” The two-day event will focus on discovering best practices and essential insights into effectively drafting, negotiating, and managing commercial contracts. Cynthia’s presentation is entitled “Real Estate Purchases and Sales Agreements: Structuring, Negotiating, and Documenting Property Purchases and Sales Contracts,” and she will discuss the following topics:

  • Legal complexities and key drafting issues in property purchase and sales agreements
  • Major legal risks and key concerns in property sales of entity interests: due diligence and liability issues
  • Strategic approach when drafting and negotiating in the real estate contracting process
  • Reaching an agreement and gaining a commitment at the close of the negotiation process
