Lawyers from Tilleke & Gibbins’ Hanoi office contributed the Vietnam chapter of the latest edition of the Center for International Legal Studies’ International Employment Law (Second Edition, Release 8, 2019), an overview of employment law in 45 jurisdictions around the world.

The guide provides information on the laws affecting compensation, hours of work, health care coverage, other benefits, training, treatment of part-time, temporary, and seasonal workers, laws against discrimination, collective bargaining, workers’ participation in management, worker compensation insurance, dispute resolution, and termination.

The Center for International Legal Studies is a nonprofit research, training, and law publication institute based in Austria. International Employment Law is published under the leadership of Professor Dennis Campbell.

Thailand’s Ministry of Interior has proposed a second round of automatic visa extensions for non-Thai citizens in Thailand whose visas will expire on or after April 30, 2020, along with a temporary exemption from the 90-day report duty, due to the continued travel restrictions in light of the COVID-19 pandemic.On April 21, the Cabinet approved the second automatic visa extension.
