Charunun Sathitsuksomboon Named to IFLR 1000 Women Leaders 2021

Charunun Sathitsuksomboon, a partner in Tilleke & Gibbins’ corporate and commercial group in Bangkok, was recognized as a top practitioner in financial and transactional law in Thailand in the recently released IFLR 1000 Women Leaders 2021, a list of the most prominent female lawyers handling financial and corporate transactions, and contract, licensing, and regulatory project work in their jurisdiction.

With her deep experience and expertise in mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, due diligence, foreign direct investment, cross-border transactions, corporate restructuring, and related work, Charunun is one of just six lawyers listed in the Thailand section. The IFLR 1000 Women Leaders is determined through careful research and analysis of casework from the past year, along with lawyer interviews and a survey of clients.

At the invitation of the Vietnam’s Ministry of Justice, Dr. Vinh Quoc Nguyen, a partner in Tilleke & Gibbins’ Ho Chi Minh City office, will speak at a special seminar for lawyers and trainees on June 29 in Hanoi. The seminar, organized by the Hanoi Bar Association and focusing on international trade in the context of Vietnam’s international commitments, will take place at the Central Guesthouse at 8 Chu Van An from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Lawyers in attendance can receive credit for compulsory professional training.

Mergers and acquisitions are expected to grow in prominence in Vietnam as the economy resets after the COVID-19 pandemic. Anticipating this impending wave of transactions, the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) and its arbitration unit, the Vietnam International Arbitration Centre (VIAC), are jointly organizing a day-long training course on M&A for Vietnamese businesses. The workshop will be held on Thursday, June 25, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at VCCI’s Ho Chi Minh City office.
