Chambers Asia-Pacific 2018: Tilleke & Gibbins Recognized in Cambodia, Laos, Indonesia, and Myanmar

Chambers Asia-Pacific  has released the 2018 edition of its annual rankings of the leading law firms from 41 jurisdictions in the Asia-Pacific region, in which Tilleke & Gibbins has once again been recognized for its general business law practices in Cambodia, Laos, and Myanmar. In addition, for the first time since its establishment in 2014, Tilleke & Gibbins’ office in Indonesia has garnered a Chambers ranking in the Intellectual Property category.

Chambers Asia-Pacific  determines the rankings via market research, client feedback, and legal market analysis based on interviews with legal practitioners. Tilleke & Gibbins also received a number of rankings in Thailand and Vietnam, as well as individual recognition for 14 legal professionals. The Sixth Annual Lex Mundi Pro Bono Foundation Awards were presented during the 2015 Lex Mundi Leadership Summit and Annual Conference in New Orleans, and Tilleke & Gibbins, the Member Firm for Thailand, was named as the winner of the Asia/Pacific award. The award honors firms that have provided critical pro bono legal services which have helped to strengthen the global rule of law, support the global social entrepreneurship movement, and improve the lives of the world’s poor and disenfranchised.

Tilleke & Gibbins’ Thailand practice has received a “Tier 1” ranking in media law from Media Law International, reflecting the outstanding capabilities possessed by our Technology, Media, and Telecommunications (TMT) group. The rankings were determined through an assessment of law firms’ individual media law departments, taking into account the qualities of their lawyers and the effectiveness and capabilities of their media team as a whole. These factors were judged through extensive interviews conducted with clients and lawyers.
