Each year, the American Chamber of Commerce in Thailand puts together a panel of experts to update AMCHAM members on the current labor law environment in Thailand. As part of this year’s event, Kobkit Thienpreecha, an attorney-at-law in the Tilleke & Gibbins corporate and commercial team, led the session on “Employing Foreign Workers.” Kobkit provided insight into visa requirements for staying in Thailand, work permit requirements for non-Thai employees, options for extending an employee’s stay in Thailand, and violations and penalties.
