Athistha (Nop) Chitranukroh to Speak at National Innovation Agency

On August 16, 2019, Athistha (Nop) Chitranukroh, partner and deputy director of Tilleke & Gibbins’ corporate and commercial group, will speak at a training event organized by Thailand’s National Innovation Agency (NIA)—a government body that supports innovation in the country to promote economic development and give companies a competitive edge in the marketplace.

Athistha will present on Thailand’s recent Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) in order to share with entrepreneurs and other attendees the far-reaching impact that this law is expected to have on digital business in Thailand. This course is part of The NIA’s Managing Innovation Development Credit (MIND CREDIT) support series, which aims to expose Thai entrepreneurs to advice from leading companies in fields such as business law, intellectual property, finance and investment, technology, and more.

On August 28, Athistha (Nop) Chitranukroh, partner and head of Tilleke & Gibbins’ regional insurance practice, spoke at an event entitled “Insurance Regulatory Sandbox – Opportunities for the Insurance Industry,” co-hosted by the Thai Fintech Association (TFA) and the Center of InsurTech Thailand (CIT). This three-hour seminar gave attendees insight into the progress of developments being made in the insurance industry, with a focus on innovations in technology and regulation.
