Asian Legal Business Ranks Tilleke & Gibbins as a Leading IP Practice in Thailand

Asian Legal Business

Tilleke & Gibbins has been ranked as a leading IP practice in the Asian Legal Business annual IP rankings. This marks the third consecutive year that the firm has been awarded this status, and Tilleke & Gibbins was one of just two full-service firms to receive this recognition in the jurisdiction. The ranking is a result of three months of extensive research and evaluations based on industry reputation and quality of work.

In addition to the ranking, Darani Vachanavuttivong, Co-Managing Partner and Managing Director of the Tilleke & Gibbins IP group, was interviewed regarding the current IP situation in Thailand and the growing number of IP cases for the firm. “We have seen a significant uptick in the volume of complex litigation cases, particularly in relation to patents and trade secrets, and this is a particular strength of Tilleke & Gibbins vis-à-vis with our competitors in the market,” said Darani. “On the commercial IP side, we have also been involved in several large technology acquisitions and IP due-diligence projects. In addition, we have seen an increase in franchising work.”

Building on this success in the Thailand rankings, Tilleke & Gibbins was also recognized as a leading IP practice in Vietnam.
