Asian Legal Business: Athistha Chitranukroh among Asia’s Top 40 Lawyers Under 40

Asian Legal Business  recently released the 2018 issue of their annual “40 Under 40” list, highlighting the top 40 outstanding legal professionals in Asia who are younger than 40 years old. Athistha (Nop) Chitranukroh, Tilleke & Gibbins’ youngest partner, head of the firm’s insurance practice, and co-head of the firm’s technology industry group, was awarded this achievement for her distinguished work in the fields of “insurance, corporate and commercial, and technology work, with expertise in Southeast Asian laws applicable to FinTech and InsurTech.” The analysis specifically recognized her outstanding advisory work with a Thai insurance brokerage on its plan to expand into Cambodia, Laos, and Myanmar, and her representation of a multinational car manufacturer and a EU-based insurance company in designing and implementing extended warranties and professional indemnity programs in Southeast Asia .

The “40 Under 40” list was determined by a thorough process and decided on four factors: the lawyers’ performance on important deals and disputes; accolades from peers; colleagues; and clients.

On February 18, 2014, Chambers Asia-Pacific released its annual rankings for law firms and individual lawyers. The rankings were determined through investigations carried out by over 140 researchers, who took into account several factors, including feedback obtained from client interviews, to identify the key legal practitioners in jurisdictions across the region. Individual lawyers were ranked in their practice areas, and they were assessed based on their legal knowledge and experience, their ability, their effectiveness, and their client service.
