AMCHAM Thailand Recognizes Tilleke & Gibbins at 2020 CSR Excellence Awards

On Tuesday, October 27, Tilleke & Gibbins was singled out for an award for exceptional corporate social responsibility (CSR) work during the past 12 months at the 2020 CSR Excellence Awards, held by the American Chamber of Commerce in Thailand (AMCHAM).

Hosted by U.S. Ambassador, Michael George DeSombre; AMCHAM president, Greg Wong; and deputy permanent secretary of Thailand’s Ministry of Commerce, Pitak Udomwichaiwat, the socially distanced ceremony was held at the Conrad Hotel in Bangkok. The award was presented by Ambassador DeSombre who observed that businesses like Tilleke & Gibbins “have shown great resilience during these challenging times and through ongoing investment in people, education, technology, and healthcare, made a positive contribution to the Thai economy.”

AMCHAM CSR Excellence Awards are given to AMCHAM member companies in recognition of their long-term efforts to support Thailand’s sustainable development. Qualifying companies have CSR programs with measurable results that create both economic and social gains for a year or more, high levels of employee involvement, and strong strategic partnerships with Thai organizations. The company mission must also align closely with the goals of the CSR activities.
