Alec Wheatley, a consultant in Tilleke & Gibbins’ intellectual property group, will speak on the legal risks associated with the use of counterfeit aircraft components in Thailand at a breakfast meeting hosted by AMCHAM Thailand’s Aerospace Council, entitled “Counterfeit Aircraft Components in Thailand: Legal Considerations.”
Although intellectual property protection continues to improve in Thailand, counterfeit aircraft parts remain a persistent issue, and improperly prepared stakeholders in the aviation industry risk being caught by surprise. The presentation will cover a wide-ranging discussion of the strategies and legal options available to stakeholders, including enforcement of IP rights, liability concerns, and legal escalation against infringers in Thailand.
The event will take place at the AMCHAM Citi Boardroom on February 19, from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m., and is free of charge for AMCHAM members. For more information, please visit AMCHAM Thailand’s website.
