Alan Adcock to Speak at Vitafoods Asia Conference

On September 6, 2017, Alan Adcock, a partner and deputy director of Tilleke & Gibbins’ intellectual property department, will speak at a “Regulation and Ingredient Registration Masterclass” as part of the two-day event, “Vitafoods Asia 2017.” The masterclass will provide comparative regulatory and legal updates in food regulation and registration in Asia from a panel of legal professionals from across the Asia Pacific region.

Vitafoods Asia is the only dedicated event for the nutraceutical, functional food and beverages, and dietary supplements industries in Asia, connecting the entire supply chain for the ingredients and raw materials, contract manufacturing and private label, services and equipment, and finished products industry areas.

This two-day event will take place at Halls D and E of the Sands Expo & Convention Centre at Marina Bay Sands, Singapore, on September 5 and 6, 2017. Starting October 1, 2012, overseas pharmaceutical manufacturers that have never before been recorded in the Drug Product Registry of Thailand will need to be accredited by the Thai Food and Drug Administration (FDA) before marketing authorization can be obtained. Otherwise, the FDA will not allow the business operator to submit an Application for Importation of Drug Product Sample, which is a required document for drug product registration.

With her expertise in regulatory affairs, Rarana will deal specifically with registering medical devices in Thailand, with an emphasis on best practices for companies in ensuring a smooth registration process.
