In 2015, there was a surge of M&A activity in the insurance sector in Asia due to the region’s strong economic growth. To review the landscape for insurance M&A in Asia, Aaron Le Marquer, a partner in Tilleke & Gibbins who leads the firm’s regional insurance practice, will participate as a panelist at the “3rd Conference on Insurance M&A in Asia,” hosted by Asia Insurance Review. Aaron’s panel discussion will focus on the regulatory aspects of insurance M&A, including:

  • Regulation as a driver in M&A
  • How to handle uncertainties in the changing domestic and international regulatory landscape
  • Dealing with multi-country tax regulations
  • Cross-border M&A deals

The conference will take place over two days, from April 27 to 28, at the Mandarin Orchard Hotel in Singapore. Aaron’s panel discussion will be held on the first day from 12 noon to 12.45 p.m. At the conference, Aaron will be joined by Athistha Chitranukroh, of counsel in Tilleke & Gibbins’ insurance team.
