Aaron Le Marquer and Michael Turnbull to Participate in Discussion on Dispute Resolution at Lex Mundi/Steptoe & Johnson LLP Conference

Aaron Le Marquer, Consultant, and Michael Turnbull, Of Counsel, in Tilleke & Gibbins’ Dispute Resolution and Litigation group, will participate as a panelist and a moderator, respectively, in a discussion of “Dispute Resolution in Asia Pacific” at the 2014 Lex Mundi Insurance/Reinsurance Cross-Border Legal Summit. The panel will discuss the varying approaches to dispute resolution taken by Asia-Pacific countries, and will focus on the differing practical, procedural, and cultural perspectives. Aaron and Michael will offer their perspective on both Thailand and Myanmar. The following individual topics will be covered:

  • General litigation culture and environment
  • Local court systems and proceedings
  • Litigation versus arbitration and other forms of alternative dispute resolution
  • Issues specific to insurance disputes
  • Cross border issues

The event, cohosted by Lex Mundi and Steptoe & Johnson LLP, will take place at the City of London Club, London, United Kingdom, from September 22 to 23.
