POSITION SUMMARY

The key focus for this new role is executing marketing and business development activities for our firm, working closely with colleagues in the Marketing & Business Development team, partners, associates and other stakeholders. While the role will have a strong focus on delivering on initiatives for our Vietnam offices in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, the role is part of the firm’s integrated, regional marketing and business development team, and there will also be regional responsibilities as a core part of day-to-day deliverables. This role will be based in Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh City and will report to a Manager, Marketing

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, coordinate, and follow up on the firm’s external and internal events.
  • Contribute to highlighting the firm’s performance in legal directories and awards by helping manage submissions for directories and awards.
  • Assist with developing and editing marketing materials, including articles, press releases, brochures, client newsletters, e-mail alerts, and website content, to enhance the firm’s visibility among current and prospective clients.
  • Write and edit materials and content for the firm’s internal communications, including the staff newsletter and the firm’s intranet.
  • Assist in planning and coordinating activities for clients and potential clients.
  • Manage day-to-day pitches and proposals.
  • Conduct research on targeted markets and industries, as well as current and prospective clients of the firm, and analyze this data to provide recommendations on marketing and business development activities.
  • Coordinate membership and involvement with business associations.
  • Assist with any other Marketing & Business Development activities as needed when there are team capacity constraints.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (preferably in marketing, business, or law)
  • Strong command of English
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to identify, analyze, and solve problems quickly and effectively
  • Ability to work independently and proactively while managing numerous tasks and complete them under time constraints
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Microsoft Office Suite skills
  • Prior experience in a marketing, communications, or business development role in a professional service firm would be an asset
  • Legal background would also be advantageous
