In the latest edition of T-AB: Thai-American Business, a journal published by AMCHAM Thailand, Darani Vachanavuttivong and Tiziana Sucharitkul, co-managing partners at Tilleke & Gibbins, were interviewed for their perspectives on the development of future Thai leaders.
Responding to questions such as “What do young professionals need to do in order to be successful in the Thai business environment?” they offered their own experiences in climbing the corporate ladder. Darani, commenting on the above question, said, “Working hard, loving what you do, and understanding your clients’ businesses are all crucial to success.” Tiziana, responding to the question “What should students consider when preparing for a professional career?” answered “One of the most important preparations a student can make for his or her professional career is to gain work experience.” She continued: “Internships are an excellent way to do this, and I can speak from firsthand experience that my internships at Tilleke & Gibbins had a profound effect on my career, because of the excellent training I received.”
In addition to the interview with Darani and Tiziana, the “Developing Future Thai Leaders” feature included perspectives from top executives at AIA Thailand, Chevron Thailand Exploration and Production, Dow Chemical Thailand, Google Thailand, Hill+Knowlton Strategies, IBM, and Yum!
