Tilleke & Gibbins Receives World Customs Organization Award

World Customs Organization

Tilleke & Gibbins was recently honored as the only private company in Thailand to receive an award from the World Customs Organization (WCO) for its strong commitment to, and cooperation with, the Thai Customs Department. The award was presented on July 4, 2011, as part of an event marking the 137th anniversary of the Thai Customs Department.

As one of the leading law firms in Thailand, Tilleke & Gibbins has established a solid relationship with the Royal Thai Customs Department through the firm’s work on behalf of its clients. This strong level of cooperation has assisted in facilitating customs enforcement in Thailand and led to the decision to grant Tilleke & Gibbins the WCO Award this year. Darani Vachanavuttivong, Co-Managing Partner and Managing Director of the firm’s Intellectual Property group, received the award on behalf of Tilleke & Gibbins from Prasong Puntanet, the Director-General of the Customs Department.
