John Frangos, a foreign consultant in Tilleke & Gibbins’ dispute resolution department, will be speaking at the Business Ethics & Compliance in Asia conference, hosted by Thammasat University’s German-Southeast Asian Center of Excellence for Public Policy and Good Governance (CPG), and the Viadrina Compliance Center of the Viadrana European University in Germany. The conference brings together practitioners and academics from Southeast, East, and South Asia to examine current developments, key differences, and trends in Asian compliance practice.

John will join speakers from China (PRC), Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Korea (ROK), Malaysia, Pakistan, the Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan (ROC) and Vietnam, who will be addressing recent developments in core compliance fields from their respective jurisdictions. John’s presentation, entitled “Anti-Corruption Compliance in Thailand: Using the NACC’s Internal Control Guidelines as a Model,” will focus on how companies can use the best practice guidance laid out by Thailand’s National Anti-Corruption Commission to help prevent bribery of state officials, foreign public officials, and agents of public international organizations.

The conference will be held at the Swissotel Bangkok Ratchada on November 17 and 18, with John’s speech taking part on the second day. For more information, please visit the CPG website
