Torajiro Ohashi Receives Long-Term Diplomatic Contribution Memorial Award

Torajiro Ohashi, a senior counselor at Tilleke & Gibbins who currently serves as the 50th president of the Japanese Association in Thailand, has received a long-term diplomatic contribution memorial award from the Japanese Embassy for his pivotal role in supporting Japan during its 2011 earthquake and for supporting Thailand throughout its 2011 flood crisis. The award, a “Certificate of Commendation,” recognizes Mr. Ohashi’s distinguished service in contributing to the deepening of mutual understanding and friendship between Japan and other nations. He was heavily involved in gathering donations and other types of support for people in the affected areas when the countries succumbed to these disasters.
