WTR 1000, 2016: Tilleke’s Trademark Practice in Thailand Ranked in “Gold” Band

World Trademark Review

After conducting extensive market research and interviews with lawyers and clients, the 2016 edition of the World Trademark Review 1000 – The World’s Leading Trademark Professionals  has ranked Tilleke & Gibbins in the “Gold” band for trademark work in Thailand. Firms ranked in the Gold band are identified as the “crème de la crème,” which have reputations established over lengthy periods of time, enabling them to secure “high-profile, big-ticket work from the most prestigious of clients.” This marks the sixth year in a row in which our firm has received this ranking.

The editorial accompanying the ranking says, “Tilleke & Gibbins is ready for anything that a multinational or local brand owner can throw at it.” Darani Vachanavuttivong, co-managing partner and managing director of the firm’s IP department, is described as a “fearless enforcer, who is undaunted when trouble brews in some of the region’s more challenging jurisdictions.” Alan Adcock, partner, is praised for his “peerless” knowledge of IP protection across ASEAN countries. Srila Thongklang, partner and litigator, is highlighted as a “brilliant tactician” and commended together with partner Nandana Indananda for securing a great result for Valentino in a dispute over confusingly similar marks. Darani, Alan, Srila, and Nandana were also identified as leading lawyers.
