Tilleke & Gibbins to Host International Trade Seminar

On February 5, 2020, Tilleke & Gibbins will host a seminar titled “The US-China Trade War and its Impact on Thailand and Southeast Asia.” The session will feature internal speakers from the firm as well as a special guest from Butzel Long, another Lex Mundi founding member firm. From Tilleke & Gibbins, presenters will include Cynthia Pornavalai, partner in the firm’s corporate and commercial practice; Waewpen Piemwichai, a registered foreign attorney in the firm’s Hanoi office; and Michael Ramirez, dispute resolution counsel in the Bangkok office. They will be joined by Leslie Alan Glick, shareholder and co-chair of the International Trade Group from the Washington, D.C., office of Butzel Long.

The presentations will examine aspects of how the US-China trade war and today’s international trade tensions are felt in Thailand and Southeast Asia. Attendees will gain insight into the impact of the trade war; responses and trade-friendly measures available in Thailand, Vietnam, and across Southeast Asia; and what companies can do to mitigate their risks and ensure that their international trading operations remain viable and profitable in these challenging times.

The seminar will be available to attend in person and via webinar. To inquire about attending, please RSVP to Miss Parach Intaralip at [email protected] or +66 2056 5546. Reservations to attend in person will be accepted until February 3, 2020, or until all seats have been booked, while requests to attend the webinar will be accepted until the day of the event.
