Teo Pastor is an associate in Tilleke & Gibbins’ corporate and commercial practice at the firm’s Cambodia office. He has broad experience in various transactional practice areas, such as capital markets, corporate finance, banking & finance, and corporate/M&A. Teo works with international, regional, and local clients active in Southeast Asia to help them navigate regulatory complexity in Cambodia and the region—particularly surrounding financial services and corporate matters. The majority of Teo’s clients are in the financial industry and fintech sector, including some of the world’s largest banks.

Before joining Tilleke & Gibbins, Teo worked for two years at a major international law firm in Sao Paulo, Brazil, prior to which he worked as a trainee lawyer at a leading Brazilian law firm’s China desk.

Teo received his bachelor’s degree in law from the University of Brasilia and is currently pursuing an LLM in Chinese Law at Tsinghua University under a full Chinese-government scholarship. He speaks English and Portuguese fluently and is conversant in Mandarin Chinese and Spanish.


  • Assisted a Cambodian water company with the review of a loan agreement with a Singapore lender involving various aspects of Cambodian corporate, banking, and tax laws.
  • Advised the initial purchasers in the issuance of USD 750 million sustainability-linked bonds by a major Brazilian agricultural commodities exporter.
  • Advised a major Brazilian state-owned development bank on its sale of USD 5.2 billion in common shares in a state-owned oil company.
  • Advised the initial purchasers in various Rule 144A/RegS offerings of standalone bonds and medium-term notes issued by the largest privately owned bank in Latin America.
