Experience

  • Conducted several market surveys at shops correctly suspected of selling counterfeit products, including investigations at major markets in Yangon and Mandalay, on behalf of a major international brand owner. As a result of the survey, the client was able to take swift and effective action against the infringement of their mark in Myanmar.
  • Part of a team that secured a decisive victory against a local infringer on behalf of a top producer of welding electrodes in Thailand. The landmark case was held before the Supreme Court of Thailand, with a resounding success attributed to the novel defensive strategy of using multiple separate trademark registrations to collectively cover the entire package design.
