Manaswee Wongsuryrat is an associate in Tilleke & Gibbins’ intellectual property (IP) group, where he focuses primarily on IP litigation for cases concerning copyright, patents, trademarks, trade names, trade secrets, and licensing agreements. In addition to disputes, Manaswee assists local and multinational clients with trademark prosecution in Thailand, including managing trademark cancellation and opposition cases at the registrar and Board of Trademarks stages, as well as at the court level.
Manaswee also works closely with the firm’s regulatory affairs department on cases relating to the Thai Food and Drug Administration (FDA), including liaising with the FDA and Department of Health to settle complex regulatory disputes. He also handles legal issues regarding administrative procedures and laws, including submitting appeals to administrative authorities and filing court cases at the Administrative Court.
Manaswee graduated with an LLB from Thammasat University, an LLM in Intellectual Property Law from the University of Edinburgh, and an LLM in Chinese Civil and Commercial Laws from Peking University. He has also completed the constitutional and administrative law training program organized by Tilleke & Gibbins and led by esteemed academics, former judges, and other accomplished legal practitioners in Thailand. Manaswee is a qualified lawyer in Thailand and a member of the Lawyers Council of Thailand. He speaks fluent Thai and English, and is proficient in Chinese.
