Plaifon Pornpunyalert is a consultant and patent agent in the intellectual property department at Tilleke & Gibbins in Bangkok, where she specializes in filing and prosecuting patent applications both in Thailand and internationally. Her expertise includes advising on IP strategy, conducting and analyzing patent searches, developing enforcement strategies, and handling a wide range of patent-related matters. In recognition of her outstanding results for her clients, Plaifon has been named a Rising Star by Managing IP.

Before joining Tilleke & Gibbins, Plaifon worked at a leading intellectual property firm in Bangkok, where she assisted clients with patent filings and prosecution in jurisdictions including European countries, the United States, Japan, Singapore, Thailand, and many others.

Plaifon holds an LLB from Newcastle University and has completed the Legal Practice Course from the University of Law in the UK, where she also worked with legal charities to advise clients on court procedures and available courses of action. She is a registered patent agent in Thailand and has completed a joint Patent Law and Global Public Health certificate course from WIPO and Harvard Law School.
