Aimee works closely with clients to understand their commercial drivers and potential risk exposure, delivering practical, context-sensitive advice in unfamiliar or evolving legal and regulatory environments. Her practice covers commercial transactions and contracts, dispute strategy and resolution, market entry and regulatory compliance, and sector-specific issues, including financial services, technology, telecommunications, digital assets, consumer goods, and energy. Her matters often involve multinational structures, regional operations, or regulatory regimes that are developing or in flux.
Before joining Tilleke & Gibbins, Aimee began her legal career in 2007 and, by 2011, was heading the general litigation, banking, and commercial department of a leading Johannesburg law firm. She later practiced as a member of the Johannesburg Bar, further developing her corporate and commercial litigation expertise.
Aimee is a regular contributor to legal and industry discussions and has been recognized with a Mondaq Thought Leadership Award. She was enrolled as an attorney of the High Court of South Africa before being admitted as an advocate of the High Court of South Africa.
