Biography

As an associate in Tilleke & Gibbins’ intellectual property department in Thailand, Rujapa Prakongsri handles a variety of intellectual property enforcement and trademark prosecution matters, providing invaluable guidance to clients seeking legal assistance with trademark registration, copyright protection, online takedowns, and prelitigation strategy.

Rujapa’s deep experience includes filing responses to objections from Thailand’s Department of Intellectual Property, lodging oppositions to third-party objections, and handling appeals before the Central Intellectual Property and International Trade Court. Her commitment to staying up-to-date on the latest legal developments in her field ensures she is always able to provide the most comprehensive, strategic guidance to her clients.

Before joining Tilleke & Gibbins, Rujapa held a senior position at a leading firm specializing in intellectual property. She holds a master’s degree in intellectual property and development from KDI School of Public Policy and Management in South Korea, and earned her LLB from Thammasat University. Rujapa is a qualified lawyer and a notarial services attorney licensed by the Lawyers Council of Thailand.

  • Represented multinational and local businesses in securing their intellectual property rights through intellectual property prosecution activities such as copyright recordation, trademark filing, registration, appeals, and related written statements.
  • Drafted, amended, and reviewed contracts related to intellectual property, including commercialization agreements through IP assignment and franchising, nondisclosure agreements, settlement agreement, and other related contracts.
