Biography

Pemika Pongmekin is an associate in Tilleke & Gibbins’ corporate and commercial department in Bangkok. She provides legal services and consultation on critical legal compliance matters in Thailand, including matters related to corporate services, data privacy and data protection, technology and media, and bankruptcy and business reorganization.

She works with local and multinational clients across a range of sectors, and has particular experience assisting companies in the healthcare, energy, and technology industries. Pemika has provided strategic advice to hospitals, energy projects, security business, online retailers, financial institutions, manufacturers, and many others.

Prior to joining Tilleke & Gibbins, Pemika worked for several years as an associate at a Thailand-based law firm. She received an LLB from Thammasat University and an LLM in International Trade and Commercial Law from Durham University. Pemika holds a lawyer’s license from the Lawyer’s Council of Thailand and is an extraordinary member of the Thai Bar Association.

  • Advised a world-leading e-commerce technology company on the regulatory framework applicable to development and production of localized content for global distribution, including extensive advice on OTT licensing and regulatory requirements, data protection, media and content restrictions, and restrictions for foreign businesses.
