Biography

Phuong Thi Minh Doan is an associate with the Tilleke & Gibbins regulatory affairs team, based in the Hanoi office. Phuong regularly assists food manufacturers in regulatory matters including product registration and label/ingredient review, and advises on Vietnamese food law and regulations that affect the clients’ products. She also advises on the registration process and regulatory matters for cosmetics, insecticides, and plant protection products and has advised on Vietnamese regulations and procedures relating to the Nagoya Protocol for genetic resource access and utilization in Vietnam, as well as advertising regulations and product liability. Phuong is a licensed lawyer and member of the Hanoi Bar Association.


Experience
  • Provided regulatory advice and assistance with regard to product registration of food (including food material, food additives, supplemented food, health supplements, food product for children up to 36 months, etc.) with the relevant food management authorities of Vietnam.
  • Provided regulatory advice on product registration as well as other compliance issues in relation to labeling (including nutrition labeling), ingredient review, and claim review of cosmetics and consumer products.
  • Advised on product advertising as well as restrictions in relation to product advertising and promotions for food, drugs, and medical devices.
  • Provided regulatory advice and assistance in product registration of insecticide and plant protection products with the relevant management authorities.
  • Advised on Vietnamese regulations on genetic resource access and utilization in line with the Nagoya protocol and procedures to obtain approval for such access and utilization.
  • Advised on Vietnamese requirements in relation to product liability and procedures applied to product recall.
