Biography

Chanattorn is a senior associate in Tilleke & Gibbins’ corporate and commercial group in Bangkok. Her practice focuses on M&A tax planning, transaction advisory, and tax mitigation planning for business reorganization. She is well regarded for her work on tax structuring for high-net-worth individuals and family businesses for legacy planning and initial public offering purposes, and she regularly advises companies across a broad range of industries on tax strategies in relation to high-value corporate transactions.

In addition, Chanattorn offers expert advice on market entry, tax and regulatory implementation, legal and tax due diligence exercises, and drafting and reviewing contracts related to M&A transactions. She also has extensive experience managing multinational and Thai clients with stakes in Thai and Myanmar investments.

Prior to joining Tilleke & Gibbins, Chanattorn worked with multiple leading law and professional services firms in Thailand. Chanattorn holds an LLB from Prince of Songkhla University and an LLM from Bangkok University with a specialization in international business and electronic commerce. She is fluent in Thai and English.

  • Advised high-net-worth individuals and family businesses in industries such as marine transport, retail, textiles and weaving, manufacturing, hospitality, and others on tax and legal structuring to achieve optimum tax efficiency.
  • Assisted many companies with tax-related structuring issues in preparation for an initial public offering on the Stock Exchange of Thailand.
  • Advised a leading insurance company on investment structuring and tax advisory services in connection with joint investment in a mixed-use senior housing facility project.
  • Provided tax structuring advice and services to one of the subcontractors responsible for supply and installation of signaling and telecommunications systems for the State Railway of Thailand’s Nakhon Pathom–Chumphon double-track railway construction project using European Train Control System – Level 1 (ETCS1) technology.
  • Advised a European multinational aerospace corporation in connection with business reorganization in Thailand and permanent establishment (PE) risk assessment.
  • Advised a well-known Malaysian automotive company on tax and legal structures to identify the most streamlined and tax-efficient alternative for entry into the automotive distribution market in Thailand.
