Thanat Sophonthammakhun is a consultant in Tilleke & Gibbins’ intellectual property group, specializing in patent prosecution both in Thailand and in other international jurisdictions.

His responsibilities include drafting patent specifications, analyzing office actions, translating patent specifications and technical documents, managing patent portfolios, and providing technical assistance to the firm’s intellectual property team in terms of filing and prosecution of patent, petty patent, and design patent applications.

With his experience in patent translation as well as his technical background in mechanical engineering, Thanat is skilled in interpretation of patent specifications. He also provides clients with advice in technical and procedural aspects in relation to intellectual property and patent matters.
