Kyaw Min Tun is an associate in Tilleke & Gibbins’ Myanmar office, handling corporate and commercial, dispute resolution, and intellectual property and regulatory affair matters. He is both an experienced litigator and general business counsel, having handled a number of notable civil and criminal cases before district and township courts, as well as previously working as an in-house counsel at a leading multinational company in Myanmar.
With his diverse legal background and fluency in Burmese, English, and Hindi, Kyaw Min Tun is a well-rounded lawyer who has assisted countless domestic and international clients in both contentious and non-contentious matters in Myanmar.
Kyaw Min Tun graduated from East Yangon University with a Bachelor of Laws, and holds a Diploma in Information Technology from the National Management College. He is a member of the Yangon Bar Association, the Myanmar Bar Association, and the Independent Lawyers’ Association of Myanmar.
- Secured a victory for a leading multinational client before the Western District Court in a case related to a late e-submission.
- Assisted a well-known chemical company in several regulatory affairs matters, including pesticide and fertilizer registrations, and importer and exporter registration with the Myanmar Pesticide Registration Board.
- Conducted market surveys and investigations to identify several major infringers on behalf of brand owners, as well as advising on potential legal actions to take against infringers.
