Biography

Binh Thanh Vu is the director of T&G Law Firm LLC (TGVN), a licensed law firm and intellectual property agent that partners with Tilleke & Gibbins for local filings and litigation in Vietnam. With nearly 25 years of experience in human resources management and law firm operations, Binh is recognized for her strong leadership and management skills. She is also regularly invited to deliver training sessions on recruitment and HR practices for law students at various legal education institutions. In addition to her expertise in intellectual property and litigation, she provides invaluable support to the firm’s corporate and commercial team, particularly in handling complex employment matters, such as workforce restructuring, legal compliance and internal investigation, and challenging termination cases. Her extensive experience and dedication make her a trusted advisor to both clients and colleagues.

Over more than two decades of legal practice, Binh has gained significant practical experience in working with the governmental authorities of Vietnam in complicated and sensitive cases. She is a member of the Hanoi Bar Association and has done pro bono work in criminal cases for underprivileged youth in Binh Phuoc province.

  • Manage over 1,500 patent and trademark filings with the Intellectual Property Office of Vietnam per year.
  • Advised multiple multinational pharmaceutical companies on labor disputes and assisted with successful hearings and mediation.
  • Advised and assisted several companies on working with the police in investigations.
  • Advised several companies on labor disputes over wrongful terminations, saving our clients hundreds of thousands of dollars and recovering company assets.
  • Advised and represented a well-known elevator manufacturer in a dispute over elevators installed in a building in Ho Chi Minh City.
  • Conducted investigations into alleged wrongdoing in relation to employee complaints and whistleblower reports.
  • Provide regular advice to foreign companies doing business in Vietnam on compliance and best practices for labor/human resources.
  • Assist multinational companies across a wide range of industry sectors with investigations into white-collar crimes and negotiating mutual termination agreements with employees.
