+66 2056 5743 Peeyakorn Suparugbundit is a counsel in Tilleke & Gibbins’ intellectual property (IP) group, specializing in patent matters for both international and domestic clients. With an educational background in both biotechnology and law, she focuses her work in the life sciences sector, with a particular specialty in the fields of biotechnology, chemistry, medical devices, and pharmaceuticals.
Peeyakorn advises clients on drafting and amending patent applications and substantive patent prosecution in Europe, Singapore, Thailand, and the United States, among other jurisdictions. She is also skilled in conducting patent analysis work, including patentability, patent landscape, and freedom-to-operate analyses for innovative technologies.
Moving beyond patent prosecution, Peeyakorn also assists inventors and investors alike with IP commercialization and transactions, including patent licensing, patent assignments and ownership transfers, technology transfer agreements, research and development agreements, and confidentiality agreements.
Peeyakorn is Thailand’s elected representative to the AIPPI (International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property) Standing Committee on Biotechnology. She formerly served on the APAA (Asian Patent Attorneys Association) Standing Committee on Patents in Thailand and is regularly invited as a guest speaker for various seminars organized by organizations in the private and public sectors. Prior to joining Tilleke & Gibbins, Peeyakorn worked at an international law firm in Bangkok and a regional IP firm in Singapore.
Peeyakorn holds an MSc in Biotechnological Law and Ethics from the University of Sheffield, an LLB from Thammasat University, and a BSc in Biotechnology from Thammasat University. Peeyakorn is a member of the Thai Bar Association, and has obtained a notarial services attorney license from the Lawyers Council of Thailand and a patent agent license from Thailand’s Department of Intellectual Property.
