Pawilai Ploythammachat is an attorney-at-law in Tilleke & Gibbins’ dispute resolution department. Pawilai provides a wide range of legal services related to civil matters, with her main practice involving complex family law cases, including pre- and post-marital agreements, divorce, child custody, international child abduction cases under the Hague Convention, division of assets, succession, and probate and estate administration. Her expertise also extends to labor and employment law.
Pawilai graduated with second class honors in law from Chulalongkorn University, one of Thailand's top academic institutions. She has completed the Barrister-at-Law requirements of the institute of Legal Education, Thai Bar Association. She is also a member of the Lawyers Council of Thailand.
- Assisted a foreigner father in child legitimation and custody after the child's mother prevented him from seeing his daughter. Our team filed a case with the Juvenile and Family Court and successfully reached a court-supervised compromise agreement, which allowed the father to see his daughter again.
- Assisted an American wife in a divorce and complex child custody case. Both parties eventually agered to divorce, with the court granting shared custody of the children and our client receiving physical custody.
