Biography
Melinda Ambrizal is a registered intellectual property consultant in the Jakarta office of Tilleke & Gibbins. She has extensive experience in handling patent and industrial design prosecutions. Melinda can assist both local and foreign clients in the prosecution of their IP applications in Indonesia and abroad.
Melinda received her law degree from the University of Azzahra Jakarta in Indonesia. She also obtained a degree in economics from the University of Pakuan Bogor. Melinda is a member of the Indonesian Intellectual Property Consultant Association and the Asian Patent Attorneys Association.
Experience
- Handled patent and design searches and advised clients on the patentability of their inventions and the registrability of industrial designs.
- Assisted foreign clients in filing prosecutions for biotechnology and chemical manufacturing patents at the national phase of PCT applications in Indonesia.
- Helped clients in the mechanical and plantation manufacturing industry to prosecute their patent and industrial design applications, from filing through to grant, in Indonesia.
- Assisted several foreign companies engaged in the mechanical, chemical, and biotechnology industries to prosecute PCT and conventional patent applications, from filing through to grant, in Indonesia.
- Managed the cross-border registration of patent applications for local and foreign companies, to countries such as the United States, India, Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, and the Philippines.
- Handled trademark registrations in Indonesia for foreign and local companies.
