Melinda Ambrizal manages the patent practice of Tilleke & Gibbins' Jakarta office. She has extensive experience in handling patent and industrial design prosecutions. Melinda can assist both local and foreign clients in the prosecution of their IP applications in Indonesia and abroad.

In her practice, Melinda regularly advises clients on patentability and design registrability, including conducting searches and developing filing strategies tailored to both local requirements and international portfolios. She has particular experience supporting foreign applicants entering Indonesia through the national phase of PCT applications, as well as coordinating cross-border filings across multiple jurisdictions. Her work spans a range of technical fields, including mechanical engineering, chemical manufacturing, biotechnology, and industrial production. She is also experienced in managing applications from filing through to grant, and in coordinating with overseas counsel to ensure consistency and efficiency in regional and global IP protection strategies.

Melinda received her law degree from the University of Azzahra Jakarta in Indonesia. She also obtained a degree in economics from the University of Pakuan Bogor. Melinda is a member of the Indonesian Intellectual Property Consultant Association and the Asian Patent Attorneys Association.
