Lan Thi Mai Trinh is an experienced patent executive with T&G Law Firm LLC (TGVN), a licensed law firm and IP agent that partners with Tilleke & Gibbins for local filings in Vietnam. Her capabilities span the entire patent field, from consulting with clients and managing cases, to drafting patent specifications, to translating specifications into Vietnamese, to interviewing examiners of the NOIP to accelerate the examination process.
Prior to joining TGVN, Lan spent more than 12 years in the patent and utility solution department of a large local law firm, where she managed over 300 patent cases in the chemical, pharmaceutical, biochemical, mechanical, and automotive fields. To date, she has handled more than 500 patent cases. She is a licensed Patent Agent in Vietnam and holds a SEAD Course Certificate (for drafting patent specifications) from Federation Internationale des Conseils en Propriete Industrielle.
- Filed and successfully registered invention patents with the Intellectual Property Office of Vietnam for major American, European, and Japanese clients in pharmaceuticals and chemicals.
- Successfully represented an Egyptian client in an appeal to defend a patent for an invention in the pharmaceutical field.
- Drafted patent specification for invention related to a water treatment apparatus to accurately capture novelty and inventiveness while ensuring the broadest possible protection.
- Represented clients in filing appeals, oppositions, and cancellations to strengthen and defend their valuable patents.
