Biography

Khin Pearl Yuki Aung is a consultant in the corporate and commercial department of Tilleke and Gibbins’ Myanmar practice. Yuki assists both domestic and international clients on a wide range of corporate and commercial matters in Myanmar, including commercial transactions, M&As, Myanmar Investment Commission endorsement applications, market entry, company establishment, licensing and certificates, and corporate secretarial matters. She also collaborates and corresponds with government officials (e.g., from the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Economic Relations) to discuss requirements and procedures for various applications submitted on behalf of her clients. Yuki has a particularly broad range of experience in corporate and commercial transactions in the telecommunications sector, including carrying out extensive legal and land due diligence exercises for complex telecoms infrastructure.

Yuki graduated with an LLB from the University of Dagon and has obtained diplomas in business law, international law, maritime law and intellectual property law from the University of Yangon. She is fluent in Burmese and English.


Experience
  • Provided corporate secretarial work by executing company incorporation, preparing and handling registration for the MyCO system for corporate secretarial matters, and re-registering companies and overseas corporations under the Myanmar Companies Law 2017.
  • Advised on and prepared a wholesale registration application under Notifications 2/2019 and 23/2019, and submitted the application to the Department of Trade under the Ministry of Commerce on behalf of a client in Nay Pyi Taw.
  • Prepared a Myanmar Investment Commission (MIC) endorsement application and submitted the application on behalf of a client to the MIC.
  • Assisted a client in preparing a Yangon City Development Committee (YCDC) business license application, submitted it to the relevant township city development committee, and obtained supporting recommendations for the application.
  • Guided a client through various stay permit and visa application procedures at the Ministry of Labour, Immigration and Population.
