Tilleke & Gibbins was awarded Band 1 rankings in Intellectual Property and Tech/Media/Telecom (TMT) in Vietnam in the 2021 edition of Chambers Asia-Pacific, one of the most highly regarded directories of law firms in the region.

This is the 13th year in a row the firm’s high-powered intellectual property practice in Vietnam has achieved a Band 1 ranking. In its editorial commentary, Chambers praised Tilleke & Gibbins as a “[s]tandout IP firm with a significant capacity for the prosecution and enforcement of patents, industrial designs and trademarks.”

For TMT, the firm was lauded for its “[i]mpressive practice with expertise spanning technology market entry, media distribution and sponsorship, and telecoms regulations,” and was one of only two firms ranked in Band 1 for Vietnam.

Tilleke & Gibbins was also recognized in Corporate/M&A for the 11th year in a row, and was placed among the top eight firms in the country in Employment, in Chambers’ first-ever rankings in Vietnam for the practice area.

In addition to the practice rankings, lawyers from the Vietnam offices were honored with six individual rankings, with Thomas J. Treutler (Band 1), Loc Xuan Le, Linh Thi Mai Nguyen, and Trung Nguyen recognized for Intellectual Property; Kien Trung Trinh for Corporate/M&A; and Waewpen Piemwichai for TMT.

The firm was also ranked in nine practice areas in Thailand, with 11 lawyers earning individual rankings, and additionally earned recognition as a top corporate law firm in Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, and Myanmar.
